Egyptian Cotton Sheets

Advantages and Disadvantages.


Egyptian cotton is considered to be the best cotton in the world today. For many years, people preferred Egyptian Cotton Sheets due to their luxurious quality, softness, and durability. Egyptian cotton has thin, yet strong, extra long fibers that are extra durable. It produces longer cotton threads than other cotton types. Egyptian Cotton is the most superior of the Cottons, the most expensive, and currently the most popular in regards to Sheet Sets and Duvets. There are, however, different thread counts of Egyptian Cotton. The higher the number, the softer and more durable the sheets will be. The use of Egyptian Cotton is not limited to Bed sheets, for it is used to produce other bedding products such as Duvet Cover Sets, Comforters, Waterbed Sheets and Pillow Cases.

Advantages: Soft, Durable, comfortable.
Disadvantages: can be expensive.

Microfiber Sheets

Advantages and Disadvantages.


Microfiber sheets are famous among college students and people that don’t want spend a lot of money. They are durable and inexpensive. If you buy a high thread count sheet set, you will be fairly comfortable and satisfied. The disadvantage of microfiber sheets is that the sheets don’t breath well, which can give an uncomfortable feel, especially in the summer. Most people complain about being hot and sweat while sleeping on microfiber sheets.

Advantages: Inexpensive, Durable
Disadvantages: low-count sheets can be uncomfortable, doesn’t breath well

Bamboo Sheets

Linen manufactures are always looking for new ways to make something new or make something better. They are extremely durable, much more than cotton sheets. Also, they breath really well, so they have a very comfortable feel all year round. In the summer, they feel cooler and they feel warmer in the winter. Bamboo is great for people with allergies, because they are resistant to dust mites. Bamboo Sheets are made the bamboo plant, which are grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides due to its antibacterial properties. Making them environmentally friendly, which is always a positive thing for the environment. Some people complain that bamboo sheets gets too wrinkled.

Anything 600 or more should be fine. A set should be around $40. If you are looking for comfort, durability and can spend a few extra dollars then we recommend 100% Egyptian Cotton sheets100% Egyptian Cotton sheets. Any set over 500 thread count should make you very happy and it’s around $70. If budget is not an issue,and you are looking for extreme comfort and high durability,then we highly recommend the bamboo sheets. A set should be around $100. Overall, the bamboo sheets are the best in terms of softness and durability that you can buy on the market today.
